The latest update to the Fish On First Top 30 incorporates five new draft picks and reflects how notable minor leaguers have developed entering the All-Star break.

The Miami Marlins farm system is gradually on the rise. The 2024 minor league season has included several breakout performances on both sides of the ball and the just-completed MLB Draft provided a much-needed talent infusion for lower-level affiliates. 

Each player's previous ranking—as of May 8—is shown in parentheses ("new" means they were not part of the Marlins organization when we made the previous list). Click the hyperlink in a player's name to visit their prospect profile.

Good job.  I'm surprised not to see Keyner Benitez on this list.  What is the reason?  

He has a strong case. His control is farther behind than the other young SPs on here, but then again, he is the very youngest of the bunch. And his changeup is impressive.

I'm going to quietly slide him into the honorable mentions category.
