  1. Marlins 2-1, but MVP is Curtis Mead.
  2. I see most of us, Marlins fans, DESTROYING Sandy for this outing, all over different social media platforms. Saying he's done, he sucks, "Sandy special", we should trade him, etc, etc, etc. This was, ONCE AGAIN, a McCullough-Moskos terrible call. If you are a manager, you are supposed to know when to pull your pitcher out and have the balls to do so, even if he's freaking Nolan Ryan. Right out the gate, in the very first inning, Sandy wasn't having it. His CH was up in the zone. The last batter Sandy should have seen yesterday was the HBP in the 6th inning. That was it. Then Otto didn't help, but that was already too late. And then... WHY THE HELL DO YOU LEAVE SANDY vs Jeezy? My point is, Sandy might not be the same Cy Young guy, but he's still the ace of the rotation, and you all need to chill out. He didn't have his best yesterday and still should have left the game with 3 ER in 5 2/3 and that was absolutely fine. Others are the ones we should blame.
  3. Marlins 2-1, Pauley starts to heat up and gets the MVP for the series.
  4. A friendly reminder that the Marlins were better off with Troy and Wiemer than the Christopher Morel signing. No need for Ruiz either. I’m not sure to judge the Eddy and Weathers moves since they are more long-term, but I would have never gotten rid of Cabrera in any case (I guess that’s just me).
  5. I’ll give you that Meyer is probably on an innings limit, and that he is playing the long game for later in the season, but you can tell that the way the bullpen is used is far from optimal. I don’t think Faucher, Bender, or Nardi are that terrible, but maybe one or two of them could use a trip to Jacksonville to find his old self. If they wanted to win this game, you don’t let Faucher pitch Gilbert, neither Nardi pitch Schmitt. Almost the entire bullpen was available today, except for Phillips. But hey, they know better than us, right?
  6. Marlins sweep. Xavier Edwards is the MVP
