Signed by the Marlins via international free agency in 2021 ($3.5M bonus)
August 2025 update: Cappe has a sweet swing, but hasn't filled out physically like the Marlins envisioned he would. He has yet to reach double-digit home runs in any professional season. Pull-happy as a teenager, he's been gradually adjusting his approach to better utilize all fields.
The ship has sailed on Cappe sticking at shortstop. He could potentially provide average defense at second base or third base.
