Drafted by the Marlins in 2022 (second round, $1.7M signing bonus)
January 2026 update: Miller's command took a leap forward in 2024, but that looks like an outlier in hindsight. His fastball velocity is below average for a right-hander (sitting around 92 mph) and there isn't much physical projection left, though his sinker frequently induces ground balls. When ahead in the count, his slider and curveball can both be quality putaway pitches.
There was a full run gap between Miller's ERA (4.59) and FIP (3.56) in 2025. That can be partially explained by his struggles to control the running game. Opponents stole 37 bases against him.
