The internal debates were especially heated this time around, which bodes well for the long-term outlook of the Miami Marlins organization. Miami's farm system is deep. At Fish On First, we rank only 30 prospects at a time—there are dozens of others worth monitoring closely who could realistically grow into major league roles in the future.

Each player's previous ranking—as of October 3—is shown in parentheses. Click the hyperlink in a player's name to visit their prospect profile.

No pitching outside of White and Snelling.

No catching other than Mack. Maybe have Alderman go back to catching?

Perhaps, but Bendix is never sitting pat. The prospect conveyor belt is running. The roster churn will continue.

I'm sure we will draft some college pitching.  The plan is White, Snelling, and Mack will be legit.  Plus one of Caissie or Alderman.  These lists change from year to year.

Bendix will be judged on the Weathers trade.  Hopefully it works out for us because it wasn't necessary.  Stats can fool you.  This trade was more about projection.

people already judged him with Luis Arraez and tanner scott trades.  also with where the minor league ranking was when he started and where it is now.     point is how good the  trade looks in the long run.   if we get more then lewis brison out of it. lol.   but was counting on having Weathers this year also.

Nah, I'm still not sold on Starlyn Caba being a top-10 prospect. He could have Barry Bonds level discipline during winter ball, and it still won't change my opinion. He's a hideously overrated prospect, and if you believe that highly in him, you'll just be left disappointed when he makes next to no impact at the MLB level.

He has a slick glove and can cover a lot of ground at short, so, at best, he's a backup middle-infielder at the major league level. He doesn't have the tools in the batter's box to be a regular. Sure, he has a good eye and can take pitches for walks, but he's doing this at low-level competition. He WON'T continue to get away with this at higher levels.
