Offishial News for 7/23/24

On Monday, Yonny Chirinos allowed 14 Mets baserunners in five innings of work. Francisco Lindor homered twice. For the 16th time in 19 games played this season, Xavier Edwards recorded a hit. Jazz Chisholm Jr. was victimized by a missed call and tweeted about it afterward. Jake Burger came up in the bottom of the ninth inning representing the winning run, but Edwin Díaz induced a popout to end the game. The Marlins lost, 6-4.

Down on the farm, each of the Marlins' three rookie-level affiliates had their games impacted by inclement weather.
