Ryan Weathers Marlins trade reaction with Craig Mish
2qbn replied to Kevin Barral - Isaac Azout's topic in Miami Marlins Talk
We all would love that for all they spend in NY and Philly, plus Braves success with only two titles during such a mostly consistent run. -
Marlins trade Ryan Weathers to New York Yankees
2qbn replied to Kevin Barral's topic in Miami Marlins Talk
It was Alex Ligero and I guess once he left or deactivated his account it changed to guest. I think he's going to miss a fun season. ;)- 23 replies

Marlins trade Ryan Weathers to New York Yankees
2qbn replied to Kevin Barral's topic in Miami Marlins Talk
Fish Stripes catching Bendix strays over here. :) I understand being frustrated as I also felt the starting pitching on this team, if healthy, could carry them in to a WC spot. That being said, they did trade away the guys who made me use the phrase if healthy, so I get it. I can't quit the fish. 93 to infinity- 23 replies

I guess we got the CF that will eventually play with Stowers and Cassie. I understand they might have confidence in Garrett, plus think Snelling could make the team out of spring, but they really should take a flyer on a 1 year SP to see if that guy can eat some innings while not being a Quantril-like disaster.- 23 replies

Possibly make a signing like Cal Quantril? I hope not. :P I'm not against signing a veteran, but no doubt it would be bargain bin hunting.

I hope the Red Rooster can hit this season. He still has some minor league seasons available, so he could start in AAA and then get called up, but this move needs to hit (pun intended).

Keep Eddy and see what this team can really do. If he is truly coming in to his own, and avoids injury, that 1-2-3 would be nasty in a WC series. Go Fish!

A New Year's miracle! Man, this season is already better. -
'Resilient' Marlins walk off Yankees in wild 13-12 victory
2qbn replied to Hector Rodriguez's topic in Miami Marlins Talk
That game was insane. Too many things to mention, but that strike zone was wild for both teams. That ump's eyes were going through some things. I would love to take this series from the Yanks. Let's go Eury and go fish!- 4 replies

Not that the team needed a boost, but hopefully this provides an extra layer of confidence in them to close out strong. They have been fun to watch, and I hope it continues to be that way to close out this season. I am interested to see who steps up and takes Sanchez's spot or will it be a rotation all season.

That was a fun game. Bellozo is a beast. I expect another solid outing from Weathers, so series win is in sight. Go fish!- 3 replies

I always go to a few Marlins games every season and had not been to one yet this season until yesterday. What a freaking game. I had my family and one of my sons brought a friend who was at his first baseball game ever. He said that was an amazing experience. Well chill, little man. They all don't go down like that one did. The best part was the Marlins never led but never quit. They go down 2-0, tied it 2-2. Down 4-2, tied it 4-4. Down 4-6, well you know what happened next. The crowd was treated to an amazing 9th inning and each guy before Stowers had to play their part. Mervis was whiffing all over the place and the HBP was a blessing and the start. Sanoja laser to center on a first pitch swing. Simon had to pull one heck of a gymnastics move to avoid being Mervis'ed. I had a feeling and started recording the at bat and have the best video I have ever taken at a Marlins game for the grand salami walk-off. Dang, this one is going to be hard to beat. I even bought some new uni merch. ;) Now let's hope Cabrera can find the zone and bring us home the series win. Go Fish!

We tore it down and I'm starting to see the foundation. If we can get Eury back and call up DLS this season can be really fun, even though so far it's been fun. Marlins, just when you think you're out they pull you back in ;)

Eric Wagaman living up to expected numbers
2qbn replied to Alex Krutchik's topic in Miami Marlins Talk
Money-ball move that is working. More of this, please. -
How can we not be excited? Last nights game was fun. Now we have Sandy pitching with a chance to sweep the leg. I know Sandy hasn't been himself yet, but after watching Meyers and Cabrera hold down the fort, and he's the one with the chance to complete the sweep, I hope it gets him out of his early season doldrums.

Max Meyer shatters career-high with 14 strikeouts in win over Reds
2qbn replied to Kevin Barral's topic in Miami Marlins Talk
This was a fun game for so many reasons. That Stowers shot ended up being crucial as the Reds got three runs later on. Agustin looks like a fire hydrant holding a bat. Bombs to come! Let's take this series tonight and let the good vibes flow.- 3 replies

Marlins sign Cal Quantrill to major league deal
2qbn replied to Kevin Barral's topic in Miami Marlins Talk
All things considered, and for what is expected of him, this is a good signing. At minimum hold the fort until Eury can pitch, though by that time I'm sure there will be other things that have happened to the starting unit. -
Top 3 storylines entering Marlins spring training
2qbn replied to Isaac Azout's topic in Miami Marlins Talk
Mervis and Bride appear to be place holders for Ramirez and DeLos. Too many 1st baseman. Maybe one of Mervis or Bride show enough to be traded for something clearing the way for the other two. We'll see how it plays out, but spring might be a cluster bleep trying to get them all enough at-bats.- 3 replies

Marlins sign Albert Almora Jr. to minor league deal
2qbn replied to Kevin Barral's topic in Miami Marlins Talk
Considering there has been nothing in the way of free agency, Almora making the team and having a decent season on the home team would be a nice story to follow. -
Marlins not among finalists to sign Japanese star Roki Sasaki
2qbn replied to Ely Sussman's topic in Miami Marlins Talk
I didn't think the Marlins were ever really considered. It would have been pretty cool, though. Maybe add some much needed juice to this sleepy off-season. ;)
