  1. Due to the unknown with starting pitching, I'm going Marlins 2-1 and Hicks is MVP
  2. It had been holding up, but the rotation was bound to go through a collapse considering the quality we're trotting out there. Roll the dice on calling someone up. Can't hurt at this point and we just might get lucky and find a gamer.
  3. I hope I'm wrong but Phillies 2-1. Schwarber MVP
  4. That Meyer-Skenes matchup is really going to test Max's loss record. That one should be good. Even though part of me thinks there could be a letup after being so red hot, but I'm going to go with the team that is vibing. Marlins win 2-1. Owen Cassie MVP aka the Canadian Rooster
  5. This has been the dream scenario for the Marlins during this doubt in starting pitching. They are getting contributions from the guys tasked with starting, but also the bats have picked it up. Swimming up the Wild Card standings like a .... Marlin? ba-dum-tish. Dad joke in honor of Father's Day coming up next week.
  6. Don't look now but the Marlins are hot. Just in time for a summer surge. I'll take it :P
  7. Let's keep cooking. The starting pitching will get sorted out and stabilize. Now is the time to get hot.
  8. Marlins win 2-1. Going back to the X man for MVP.
  9. The money spent on Paddack and Fairbanks has been a waste. I understand not wanting to make a multi-year mistake, but these one year guys have not paid off. I hope the front office gets better at free agent offers. Woof!
  10. They listened. Sweep! It feels good. They needed that and hope we can get some mojo going. The pitching is concerning, but maybe we get lucky and find something to hold down the fort.
  11. The sequence of getting the ball called after the ABS challenge to hitting the HR was absolutely amazing. I wanted the team to send Heriberto down and they did. He has come back a new batter. Kudos to him. I hope we can get the same from Gus at some point this season. Series win feels good, but after all the L's this team has taken recently, let's get greedy. Sweep!
  12. That was a much needed win. They have to string a few together to make up for the recent skid. It's a good start to June. :)
  13. I missed a couple predictions, so going to have to go on a run to at least get back into the mix. Marlins 2-1 and going with X as MVP
  14. After that 3 pitch SO when he flinched away each time that was it. Experiment over. This is insanity.
  15. At least they have been consistently frustrating. Such a shame for Eury. The starting pitching has been snake bit (again). I hope it's a short stint and he only misses a start or two.
  16. This team has been maddening all season. We see the potential and then we see a freezing cold team. I'm hoping the ups and downs pays off and they make another run in the summer like last season, but this time without the final collapse. Come on, guys! We see what could be.
  17. Ruiz has worked out so far compared to Morell. Can't win them all.
  18. Split series 2-2 since Eury isn't pitching. :P MVP is Olson
  19. I hope this starts a run and not just a one game outburst. Let's take the series!
  20. I've been picking the fish and they shred my heart to pieces. Rays win 2-1. Caminero walks away with MVP
  21. I knew it was over after the most awful at-bat in Marlins history. From all accounts a nice guy, but his time is up in the next two weeks. It's a shame it didn't work as the team needs the power. Good article, Ely.
  22. The Marlins have felt close to going on a little run but end up bleeping something up. After a series win vs Nats I'm going Marlins take this road series 2-1. Stowers powers the fish to MVP.
