  1. Seeing those last 16 game numbers gives me some hope. . 285 .335 .440 .775 ops 15-20 HR with an average glove would be a nice step forward
  2. From the MLB morning lineup site yesterday: 10) Who's the 2026 version of Bryan Woo? (A surprise standout in a talented rotation) The pick: Ryan Weathers, Yankees
  3. Weathers for a young Monte Harrison jr. What am I missing?
  4. The only way to win with a choke hold budget is a great starting pitching staff: Sandy-Eury-Cabrera-Weathers-Snelling gave us a chance to win every day with good defense. Garrett/Myers if someone faltered. Now we have to count on Garret / Myers or pray for Gusto.
  5. Blaylock in Bido out - Makes no sense to me
  6. If he becomes Jim Edmonds I will be pleasantly surprised (actually shocked!)but here's hoping
  7. Actually Garret was a very good starter in 22/23 and pitched hurt in 24. Meyer - Hopefully he finds a place in the bullpen Even with our strong top 5 pitching at peak we were a borderline playoff team and the franchise will continue to have low attendance no matter what, so given that financial situation maybe trading 2 injury prone pitchers for maybe another Stowers and 6 guys with some chance of success wasn't the worst idea.
  8. Neither trade bothers me, but trading the 2 seems a bit risky, especially when our road to the playoffs is based on pitching. Sandy - Eury 1/2 Garret? - They know more than me about his medical report Snelling? - He looks ready, but... Junk / Gusto / Meyer Hope there's a #5 starter there I assume they will sign another innings eater, hopefully with better results than Quantrill. If Cassie becomes a reliable starter and one of the Yankees developes all is well. If Weathers and Cabrera escape in juries and do as well as we had hoped - not so much
  9. I understand Caissie as the main course, but another AA shortstop and a lotto ticket seem a bit underwhelming as the additional spice. Personally, with 2 starting lefthanded batting outfielders penciled in already, I would have rather kept Cabrera. Here's hoping I am wrong
  10. I agree that we keep Eddy and build around a strong top 3. Weathers has earned a long look at the 4 as long as he can stay healthy. Snelling, Junk or Garret handles the 5 and we have a really strong staff. I have little faith in Myer, but hopefully he will surprise me. I do not trust our front office.
  11. Another throw it up on the wall and see what sticks option. I guess if you get enough of those at least 1 will hit
  12. looks like we got nothing in return. We could have seen if the wrist injury was the reason for his drop in spring training, so he could have been a platoon 4/5th out fielder. Our biggest off season trade? haha - Trade Bendix
  13. I like the signing, but sadly a break even with losing Henriquez. I think Pauley may surprise, but Morel at 1st is worrisome
  14. Casas popped up on my radar as soon as they signed Contreras. Worth a gamble
  15. I thought Henriquez should have gotten a shot at closing last year. Meyer could be a big add to the pen and has the stuff to close. I wouldn't spend big on Pete, but could take a cheap flyer on Yates / Dominguez.
  16. Anderson 5m - Quantrill 3.5m At least he is cheaper. Hoping third times a charm
  17. Don't waste your time. Saving $$$ is the only thing that makes sense here.
  18. Morel over TJ / Wagamon? Not for me Garcia had a bit more history and Marsee dropped off like Ramirez after a fast start - I'm a wait and see on Marsee If Yates is cheap, worth a flyer on a bounce back
  19. I'd like to take a flyer on Mayo, but not at the cost of Cabrera, Garret or Snelling. maybe Myers or Weathers
  20. Maybe a couple months at AAA to show the control isn't an issue. He seems to identify issues and correct them. The Pirates waited too long on Skenes, but he is the Unicorn
  21. A great prospect, but control is an issue, not a plus as the article suggests. I'd wait until he has at least half a season of mlb.
