  1. The Bendix file: OUT :Cabrera 3.88 era Weathers 3.00 era TJ .860 ops In: Caissee - Fairbanks - Lewis - Morel - Paddock Ramirez for Jazz There is 1 Marlin that definitely needs to go and he can take McCullough with him
  2. I hate that he is laughing and smiling as his performance deteriorates
  3. Caisee definitely needs milb time Marsee is playing just like he did after his hot start last year. Like Ramirez, if you take away 2 hot weeks at the start he isn't very good thereafter. Put Berry in a corner with Stowers. Ruiz in CF. Marsee / Sanoja. Lopez, Edwards, Hicks at 1B are the 3 guys who are hitting consistently and need to play everyday Bring up Navarette to platoon with Mack. Test the under the radar Ignoffo at AAA vs Ramirez. 3B - Norby Pauly Sanoja Dump Bendix asap. Weathers / Cabrera trades - Bad Morel / Paddock signings - Made no sense Failure to trade for a right handed hitting catcher - Overlooked Fairbanks - He wasn't that good as a closer before - jury still out, but not me 2 good things - Lopez, Hicks attained for pennnies
  4. typical Marlin cheap decision bites them in the ass. Could have taken that 4m + Morel's 1.75? and gotten a real baseball player.
  5. Trade Sandy in June, if he keeps his era at 3 or less. We will not pay him 21m next year, so who are we kidding. Every pitcher moving forward will benefit from a catcher who can catch and throw out more than 10% of runners. Even the wild pitches are often catchable. This has to be on a pitcher's mind when he is on the mound. Perez Myers Junk Garret Snelling White / Gusto waiting in the minors
  6. I'd keep Ignoffo catching. He seems to keep getting better while staying under the radar. Gus needs to work on his bat. He should keep trying to catch, but this season is the last try.
  7. Mack's move up can only help, but sending down Gus was a surprise, though probably a good decision. Alderman has been on a tear. If he can cut down on his strikeouts, he could be a good starter. Maybe Marsee to AAA for a spell, especially if he is still doing nothing when Conine comes back.
  8. I didn't understand signing him in the first place. He had one good year back in 2019 and was average in 2022. After Sandy is he our most expensive player? Crazy
  9. Great example of a guy dedicated to working on his game in the off season. When Mack comes up he goes to 1B/DH
  10. How much better would we be if we had just done absolutely nothing in the off season and saved the GM salary? Mo' bettah
  11. Bring up Garret and move Paddock or Junk to the pen. If Snelling continues to dominate he needs to be brought up and Milibrandt should be on his way to AAA. White is killing it again at AAA.
  12. Should I be the GM? I was against all the off season moves Trading Weathers for another 5 tool kid who strikes out a lot- NO Tradinging Cabrera for a left handed bat - NO Dumping Troy Johnston - NO Signing Morel for more money to replace Johnston - Ridiculous With no trades we'd have the best 5 deep pitching staff in baseball
  13. Marsee and Caissee both have higher ops against lefties. Neither is great, but hovering around .700 ops.
  14. Agreed. We need to bring up Garret and start Weathers - Oops I forgot we traded him for a 235 hitting, toolsy AA outfielder. My bad
  15. He made a bonehead base running mistake and I was disappointed to see him on the bench later sorta grinning/smiling rather than banging his head against the wall
  16. Max could have had a shutout, if Ramirez didn't help the Cardinals out. Mack could bat .200 with a .600 ops and it would be an overall improvement, not to mention what it would do for the staff's psyche.
  17. He looks at too many 3rd strikes in the middle of the plate
  18. After watching the catching meltdown, I think the pitching has been hampered by bad catching. I would bring up Snelling, Garret and Mack before Ramirez / Hicks demoralize the staff. Also, Garret and Snelling have been caught by Mack this year, so there is familiarity.
  19. Norby has increased his walk rate and cut down on his strikeouts. He looks good at the plate and I think some added confidence from early season stats will keep him doing well. But he is bad on 1st base. He was better, but not good at 3rd. I assume the LF experiment in spring training didn't work out. He may end up as a full-time righty DH filling in at 1st and 3rd with an .800+ ops which would be fine.
