    Arquette has the power to move to 3rd where we have nothing, but I don't think he is having what I would call a strong season.

    Before this winning streak, I was all in on trading Sandy, though I did think his value was down. Now we are in the think of the wild card race with Perez, Garret and Milibrandt waiting in the wings. Joe Mack's defense plus "as good as Ramirez" offense has been a big help and he has caught all 3 in the minors. We definitely need help at 3rd base, but tradng a proven starter for a AAA prospect to rely on down the stretch is scary. Gage Miller has gone under the radar, but he is tearing it up in AA and AAA this year. I like his low strikeout rate.

    Milbrandt ate up AA and has 2 great AAA starts. Better franchises than us jump 22 or younger pitchers when they are short handed. Worked out last year for Yesavage. Time to give Pauley another shot? Still the best glove at 3rd

    Caissie is finally coming around, but we keep pinch hitting for him even when we are down 5-1 in the 6th. So much for player development

    1. It was a worthwhile experiment - No it wasn't. This idea was a prayer from day 1. 2. A case could be made that bad luck with other players has played a part. Kemp Alderman was playing out of position. Bad idea. Not bad luck, especially when we need right handed outfield help 3. Ramirez Miami's breakout catcher with the bat of an All-Star - for about 2 weeks. Below average after that

    They need right handed help in the OF, so they moved him to 1st base where he got injured.

    Sorry, but a good starter, that we really need, is a lot more valuable than a non-closing reliever. Personally, I would have tried him as closer instead of spending 13m on Fairbanks, but that boat sailed.

    Nice to see Morel hitting some hard foul balls. Bendix has done 2 good things - lopez and Hicks. That is not enough to keep a job.

    We have 3 strong hitters, plus Marsee rising. None are Judge, Schwarber or Ohtani. who can carry a team by themselves. Berry and Alderman deserve a shot soon, if Stowers and Norby stay the path. Conine is on the way back.

    Mediocre? You are too nice. We have 3 good hitters. 3 good pitchers and 4 good bullpen arms. I do like Mack. Alderman and Berry should get a crack at the corners. Bendix should be run out of town

    Caisee definitely needs milb time Marsee is playing just like he did after his hot start last year. Like Ramirez, if you take away 2 hot weeks at the start he isn't very good thereafter. Put Berry in a corner with Stowers. Ruiz in CF. Marsee / Sanoja. Lopez, Edwards, Hicks at 1B are the 3 guys who are hitting consistently and need to play everyday Bring up Navarette to platoon with Mack. Test the under the radar Ignoffo at AAA vs Ramirez. 3B - Norby Pauly Sanoja Dump Bendix asap. Weathers / Cabrera trades - Bad Morel / Paddock signings - Made no sense Failure to trade for a right handed hitting catcher - Overlooked Fairbanks - He wasn't that good as a closer before - jury still out, but not me 2 good things - Lopez, Hicks attained for pennnies

    typical Marlin cheap decision bites them in the ass. Could have taken that 4m + Morel's 1.75? and gotten a real baseball player.

    Trade Sandy in June, if he keeps his era at 3 or less. We will not pay him 21m next year, so who are we kidding. Every pitcher moving forward will benefit from a catcher who can catch and throw out more than 10% of runners. Even the wild pitches are often catchable. This has to be on a pitcher's mind when he is on the mound. Perez Myers Junk Garret Snelling White / Gusto waiting in the minors

    I'd keep Ignoffo catching. He seems to keep getting better while staying under the radar. Gus needs to work on his bat. He should keep trying to catch, but this season is the last try.

    Mack's move up can only help, but sending down Gus was a surprise, though probably a good decision. Alderman has been on a tear. If he can cut down on his strikeouts, he could be a good starter. Maybe Marsee to AAA for a spell, especially if he is still doing nothing when Conine comes back.

    I didn't understand signing him in the first place. He had one good year back in 2019 and was average in 2022. After Sandy is he our most expensive player? Crazy
