  1. Agreed. We need to bring up Garret and start Weathers - Oops I forgot we traded him for a 235 hitting, toolsy AA outfielder. My bad
  2. He made a bonehead base running mistake and I was disappointed to see him on the bench later sorta grinning/smiling rather than banging his head against the wall
  3. Max could have had a shutout, if Ramirez didn't help the Cardinals out. Mack could bat .200 with a .600 ops and it would be an overall improvement, not to mention what it would do for the staff's psyche.
  4. He looks at too many 3rd strikes in the middle of the plate
  5. After watching the catching meltdown, I think the pitching has been hampered by bad catching. I would bring up Snelling, Garret and Mack before Ramirez / Hicks demoralize the staff. Also, Garret and Snelling have been caught by Mack this year, so there is familiarity.
  6. Norby has increased his walk rate and cut down on his strikeouts. He looks good at the plate and I think some added confidence from early season stats will keep him doing well. But he is bad on 1st base. He was better, but not good at 3rd. I assume the LF experiment in spring training didn't work out. He may end up as a full-time righty DH filling in at 1st and 3rd with an .800+ ops which would be fine.
  7. Troy has an .805 ops this year. Why we let him go and signed Morel escapes me.
  8. Noble is already out with an injury. 5 bad first round picks in a row - and high picks at that. Eeh! Law of averages says Berry or Meyer will make it this year - haha
  9. Agree on Norby's defense. Last night he didn't stretch toward the throw and turned an out into an infield single, but no error affecting his fielding %. Troy Johnston has a .954 OPS while Morel gets paid to watch, while being paid more. That is still my biggest head scratching move.
  10. Pulling Sandy without a discussion showed him no respect. We lose and it can't help where Sandy's head is at in the long run. Up 2-0 Marsee should have been running after his lead off walk in the 8th.
  11. We traded Cabrera for our future star. He starts out hot and is rewarded by being a platoon player. We are going to see every leftie a team can muster.
  12. I didn't mind the Cabrera trade, but now realize we have 3 lefthanded hittting outfielders, so teams will probably load up the lefties against us. I didn't like the Weathers trade and last night didn't help.
  13. Milibrandt is a key to the future. Gives us 3 high end guys at AAA, so only 2 need to step up and stay healthy. May is a sleeper
  14. That sux. I thought he might win the 5th starter spot.
  15. Cabrera pitched 2 innings no hits no walks 3 strikeouts Weathers - Cabrera for Lewis - Cassie. Disliked it from the get go and it just looks worse so far, but it's early (haha)
  16. I like Pauley at 3rd, especially if he can keep hitting like he did at the end of the year. His glove is above average already.
  17. I'd be happy if he turned into something slighly above average
  18. Seeing those last 16 game numbers gives me some hope. . 285 .335 .440 .775 ops 15-20 HR with an average glove would be a nice step forward
