  1. Ms. O'Connell job is important but promotions no matter how clever will not bring out the fans until the Marlins put a competitive team on the field.
  2. Greg Cote is right. If he doesn't want to spend money on major league players sell the team to someone who will put a competitive team on the field.
  3. Fish or cut bait is a popular phrase that explains the Marlins dilemma with Cabrera. It is time to cut bait and explore other options for his starting spot. We traded Luzardo and we are entertaining trading Sandy. So what could have been a pretty good starting rotation wifi turn into nothing by the trading deadline.
  4. This team has a lot of holes. But the solution is to trade Sandy. When are we going to start building a team instead of continuing to tear it down. I predict we will not have a sellout for opening day. The fans are disgusted.
  5. Sandy is that guy and all I hear is we have to trade him. If we do trade him we can't settle for a middle of the road prospect. We have enough of them.
  6. I am waiting for the position player who is a gold glove defender, a 25 home run and 80 rbi producer. When I see a Marlins prospect with that potential talent I will get excited.
  7. I am glad Sandy looks great however it is difficult for this fan to get excited about this team when the commentators on MLB is talking about Sandy being traded even before Spring training ends. How much disappointed can fans take.
  8. Sherman reminds me of someone with a serious desease going to a snake oil salesman rather than a qualified doctor for a cure. Sure the Marlins can't outspend most teams but we have to spend something on quality major league talent. Miami fans deserve better and I hope that the players union can bring attention to this horrible situation.
  9. Marlins fans deserve better than this owner who is only interested in owning a baseball team rather than a winning team.
  10. I am a Marlins fan who has been there from the beginning. I hope the experts are wrong but we will probably lose 100 games and come in last in attendance. I just hope we don't give Sandy away at the trading deadline.
  11. The Marlins will probably lose over 100 games. We have a tripple A team that plays against teams that each have several all star talented players. I don't know how Marlins management expect fans to come out and support this lack of effort to field a competitive team.
  12. With all of the moves I believe Sandy is our only player with a multi year contract. If the Marlins are going to win consistently They have to identify the players tey want to be long term Marlins. This roster turnover is not goint to cut it. They need to sign players who they can build around. If not we will just a revolving door of players who will not bring the team any winning results,
  13. A lot of players are going to have to overperform if the Marlins are going to avoid losinng 100 games again in 2025.
  14. The Marlins will be fielding a pretty good tripple a team next year.
  15. I am waiting for one of these young bonus babies to make a major contribution.
  16. So many good players, managers and coaches have passed through the Marlins organization. There is no stability or continuity to build on. It's like musical chairs. We are the only team in baseball without a manager. While we have picked up some pretty good prospects with trades I wonder how many of these players will be with the team three years from now. Bendix was supposed to improve the situation. I am still waiting for tangible results.
  17. The Marlins manager job is probably the least desirable manager job in the major league. I just hope we can find a diamond in the rough because an obviously qualified manager candidate will not be anxious to accept this position.
  18. The Marlins manager job is not a coveted position. So if we get a good manager we will be very fortunate.
  19. It is nice to hear about good young players in farm system. However I am waiting for the Marlins to sign a young player to an extended contract. If we don't sign some of these young players we will always be a team with a revolving door and no continuity. That is what winning teams do.
  20. Loan Depot is packed when the WBC plays. If we had an owner who spent money on quality players the fans would come out.
  21. Sending Max Myer to Jacksonville early in the season so he could finish strong has been a failure. He loss the confidence and command of his pitches and now he is injured. We have to be smarter.
  22. I hope the Marlins trade Cabrera this winter. He has good stuff but seems to lack the maturity and will to be a successful major league starting pitcher. He missed a start with a migraine less than an hour before game time. Players get injured and have illnesses, but Cabrera has not performed on the mound as well. At this point we should move on.
  23. Cabrera had two three run leads and ended up losing the game yesterday. Obviously he has the talent to be a major league starting pitcher but does he have the desire and mental toughness. Only time will tell. The Marlins will probably give him the rest of the year to find himself but if he doesn't produce he will not be in the Marlins plans next year.
