The problem: How do you get some productivity from the catcher position? His answer: Acquire Bethancourt, who was yard-saled for 100 grand. My answer: Will Banfield replaces Fortes now instead of waiting another month., I would also have Kyle Teel in the pipeline, my 2023 draft pick instead of Noble Meyer.

The problem: How do you improve the SS position, where the Marlins were nearly the worst in all of baseball. His answer: Sign Tim Anderson, who was actually the very worst performing SS. My answer: Put Jazz at SS where he belongs and mitigate his throwing by having a first basement who can catch the ball on the bounce (which most major leaguers do routinely.)
