Bring in Anderson and Urshela, keep Cabrera, and trade Berti.

The odds of the Cabrera trade happening seem to be plummeting.  If Anderson accepts his offer, this makes Berti back to a bench+ role.  He's 33 and coming off his best year. With his speed and versatility, he's the perfect piece for a contender, similar to MiggyRo.  With his favorable contract (arb 4 in '25), I bet we get 2 good prospects. I love Berti, but he's due for some regression.  We have Brujan, Gordon, and Edwards, I highly doubt we DFA Brujan since we just traded for him.  Gordon is versatile, and Edwards has nothing left to prove in AAA.  We have a much better chance of a title with Sandy back, Avi off the books, and a stable of prospects.   Spend next year when we will need a closer and a 1B.  Let's hope one of our AAAA guys turns into something.  We should have a clearer picture next offseason.

Berti definitely has some trade value. I don't have a great feel for how much exactly. A decent chunk of his value is tied to his baserunning and that element of his game mostly went away during the 2nd half of last season. It's hard to bet on it fully coming back given his age. That may scare off some contenders from dealing significant prospects for him.
