I think Pham could help the Marlins. I would sign him. He is cerainly better than Avisail Garcia.

Right, as long as the team is willing to move on from Avi, Pham fills that particular role well. If they are adamant about giving Avi yet another chance, the roster fit isn't as smooth.

They should move on from Garcia. I know they owe him a lot of money but facts are facts. He was a bad signing and the Marlins should eat the contract and move on.

ZIP projections for Marlins is out on Fangraphs. Jazz has the highest rating along with Luzardo. Burger and Arraez next. Most interesting feature is Josh Bell and Troy Johnston with about identical projections for 2024. Bell going the free agent route would have saved the Marlins about $13M!

Someone named Michael Hill on X saying Yammamoto is in Miami meeting the Marlins. Not sure if it is that Michael Hill, which would give it some cred. I don't believe it but hey if Shermy wanted to surprise everyone wow. Marlins have the edge over LAD, NYY and NYM as all three operate in city/state markets with 24% personal taxes.
