This is my first full year following the Marlins on a full-time basis, but I understand the depth of emotion from long-time fans. Marinate in the fun and enjoy it. Fantastic that the Monday game is not necessary, even though it goes into the books as a 1-0 Mets win, as I understand it. Against all odds and throughout this most counterintuitive of seasons based on so many metrics, this team's heart made all the difference.

I will give Jeter credit for hiring Ng. However I am glad he is gone. She has done a great job. Sure every player she signed or traded for hasn't worked out. But she has had more hits than misses. The Pablo for Areas trade was risky but a key trade. Pablo is an excellent pitcher but Areas changed the culture of hitting on this team. So Sherman should extend both Ng and Skip. I hope next year the fans will come out and really support this team.

I have been a Marlins fan almost from the beginning, since I moved to Florida in June 1993. This team is special! Hope we get to keep most of the roster intact, because this is just the beginning!

This entire year of transactions has involved a lot of risk. Kim made a big bet on the team contending immediately even when it seemed like a longshot and it paid off. Hopefully it will change how the team is perceived locally. If nothing else, it definitely has captured national attention.
