Kim Ng being a woman and an Asian in a profession dominated by White men has performed admirably. While I have not agreed with all of the decisions that she has made it seems to me that she is getting better at her job. Her moves at the trading deadline has improved the club. I also think selecting Skip for manager was the right choice. It is difficult for a GM of the Marlins with our limited payroll to field a competitive team. Whether we get into the playoffs or not the Marlins are competitive in mid September and will continue to improve. I hope Sherman rewards Ng with a contract extension because it is well deserved.

I hope Jazz is ok. Shocked, shocked, that he had to leave the game last night. After all, he has already played in almost 57% of the team's games this year! Sorry, I could not resist being a little snarky this morning!

Yes, beyond just the results, I have been impressed with Kim's overall acquisition process over the last calendar year, including the managerial search. The 2022 trade deadline was a low point that made me question her fit with the job. She has shown a lot of growth since then.

Any additions made under Derek Jeter are questionable! He was the worst President in baseball history! I really want to root for Kim Ng, but her addition to the GM role is tainted by years of terrible decision making. I question whether these recent successful acquisitions were mostly decided by the assistant GM’s hired, and not so much Kim Ng making the decision.

After years of trying to understand Miami Marlins management decisions, I guess I give up. Kim's efforts have finally come to fruition with a contending team that's half a game out of a Wild Card spot and still int it with two weeks to go. As a long time Fish fan, I can confidently say this is their best season in years. There must be more going on behind the scenes that we're not aware of.
