Stallings was poorly positioned. Sanchez throw was golden and should have resulted in an assist.

The Marlins should do the smart thing and shut Eury Perez down for the year. The kid looks cooked and the Marlins aren't making the playoffs anyways. Have him prepare for next year. Don't risk a freak injury by sending him out for games where there's nothing left to play for.

Doesn't look cooked to me at all. Dealing with the normal big league learning curve. He's on track for only 2 more starts anyway. Let him keep going.

It's baffling how much Stallings' defense has fallen off from where it was with the Pirates. His Marlins tenure would be viewed a lot differently if he had simply continued playing the position the way he's capable of.
