Based on the comment from the previous article (Wendle), I guess it kind of makes sense why Troy is still in AAA.

 

Thinking about Spring Training, the situation will play out depending on Soler’s decision. If he out (most certainly), that would clear the way up for Johnston as DH/ back up 1B, right?

If he doesn’t, shouldn’t Johnston get reps in a corner OF and try to get Avi’s job? In any case, it won’t hurt him add some versatility.

I was underwhelmed by what I saw from Johnston's outfield defense in the past, but his weight loss and added agility might help. Interesting that he hasn't played there whatsoever this season despite putting himself in a better physical shape to handle it.
