  1. Good article Kevin! I predict that the Marlins will use Augustine Ramirez as their backup catcher next year. I think the team can withstand his defensive limitations for 1 to 2 starts a week should he return to his good hitting ways of a year ago. I don't think it's at all possible that the team would pay big free agency money for a guy to perform as a backup behind the plate.
  2. A very well-written article Sean! Thank you. I agree that Tommy belongs in the Marlins Hall of Fame. Looking forward to reading a piece from you on that topic.
  3. A lot of boohoo in this thread. Marlins win the series 2-1, just like they did when the teams played earlier this year. MVP is Conine.
  4. I agree with you that the message was sent at the trade deadline that they were not going to go for it. But honestly, the team sent its own message before the deadline with the 12 game losing streak. You're not going to have a good season with a 12 game losing streak. They weren't a pitcher and a batter away from real competition with a 12-game losing streak. The GM made the right call here. This is a 500 team, not a playoff contender.
  5. Marlins sweep. Stowers is the MVP. This is the beginning of the playoff run.
  6. Marlins win the series 2-1 and Conine is the MVP.
  7. Marlins get the sweep. The MVP will be Caisse.
  8. Marlins win the series 2-1 and Stowers is the MVP.
  9. Marlins win the series 3 to 1. MVP is Conine.
  10. Marlin sweep. The MVP will be Joe Mack.
  11. Marlins win the series 2-1 and the MVP is Kyle Stowers
  12. Marlins win the series 2-1 and give me Star Wars (KS) as the MVP.
  13. Marlins win the series 2-1 and Star Wars as the MVP.
  14. Marlins take the series 2 to 1 and give me Sandy as my MVP.
  15. Marlins win the series 2-1. Otto is the MVP.
  16. Marlins take the series. Kyle Star Wars is my MVP.
  17. Marlins win the series 2-1. Star Wars is the MVP. (That is how my voice to text interpreted me saying Stowers. I left it in there. Perhaps a new nickname for him if he gets back to hitting lasers.)
  18. That was a very good article, Nathaniel. I agree with a number of your suggestions to improve on the situation. Clearly you're doing a good job at your internship! Congratulations.
  19. Good article Sean. Thank you! David Samson has been illuminating in his revelation that managers, at least the kind without a lot of power, do very little on their own and take most of their directions from the front office. Even down to when to remove pitchers and the lineups. It's funny, but we're still off operating off an old paradigm that the managers actually make up their lineups. And managers get the criticism for those lineups when they don't perform. The reality is change the manager but the lineup would stay the same.
  20. You misstate his opening sentence in an attempt to make your point. I disagree with that. The article clearly states other than the two world series teams, 2023 was the most adored. How can you LOL at that? We only went to the playoffs one other time. Not exactly a ridiculous statement by the writer. I thought it was a good article.
  21. Marlins win the series 3 to 1 and Xavier is the MVP.
  22. Marlins win the series 2-1, MVP is Eury
