  1. All of those above names plus others didn't need 3+ years to develop in the minors. I remember the Fish losing 2 starting pitchers just before opening day one year and bringing up a young kid named Jose Fernandez from Double-A to fill one of those spots and he never looked back! Marcella Ozuna was another who skipped AAA and was promoted from AA where he was tearing it up. He continued to tear it up in the big leagues and was never demoted. Harper and Soto both at age 19 were showing they belonged in the show, we might have one here in Santiago Solarte! Keep your eyes 👀 on this kid.
  2. Fish bounce back once again and sweep Nats 3-0 riding on MVP Conine's shoulders!
  3. I think we should rush this young phenom to the majors by let's say 19 years old just like Soto, Harper, Acuna, Elly De La Cruz and O'Neil Cruz were fast tracked. This is a kid playing amongst men but he is different than the rest of his peers at his level, just like the above mentioned stars were! 🌟 I liked this signing from the get go after reading about this kids skillset and huge upside and his domination in the Dom Rep Summer League only gets me more excited for his future promotion to the show!
  4. Fish can't win or hit in Philadelphia, Phillies Sweep 3-0. Christopher Sanchez MVP 🫤
  5. Hicks bat is being replaced by Joe Mack, Gus Ramirez and Griffin Conine along with Mack's great defense. We look fine going forward as these 3 are all in the line-up now raking balls everywhere while contributing to some important wins for us. Hicks had the same troubles as Gus had in not being able to throw out runners at the league average or above it plus he was slow of foot on the bases. Loved seeing his improvement at the plate but Mack beat him out at catcher and he got caught in the numbers game shortly after.
  6. So happy to see Gus finally called up and driving the bus again! Agree playing catcher was very hard for him and just happy to have his dangerous bat in the line-up again at DH or 1B where he did play at for the Yankees Farm System about 20 times they say. He's definitely put that early slump behind him and ready to rock and roll like Heriberto has since his recall much earlier. Look at Bert now, carrying us along with Conine. Love seeing the improvement these guys are showing!
  7. "Marlins All-Star right-hander Max Meyer underwent a cortisone shot in his side/rib area, according to manager Clayton McCullough". Should we ship out Max for a bucket of top prospects in the off-season and just be done waiting for him to stay healthy for a season? Or should we keep Max and just be happy he's still under team control whenever we get him back healthy from his frequent IL stays? My opinion on this is trade him and move on just like what happened with another 1st Rd Draftpick of ours, Braxton Garrett, who seemingly didn't recover fully from TJ surgery and was not the same pitcher anymore. To me, Max just appears to be too fragile to stay healthy and play a 162 game season. Sell high based on his outstanding numbers he put up in 2026 before his latest injury setback. What are your thoughts on Max Meyer going forward with the Fish?
  8. Fish win series 2-1. Conine MVP, continues to stay red-hot! 🔥💪
  9. Fish Sweep the awful Angels 3-0. Augustine Ramirez launches a few Bombs and will be the MVP!
  10. Fish Win 2-1 with Conine leading the way as MVP!
  11. Phillies Sweep 3-0, why not? Harper MVP
  12. Fact is that Esteury Ruiz in place of Marcy gives us better offensive stats in CF. He deserves the chance Marcy got the rest of the way in the 2nd half. Amazing that Marcy has not been sent down at any time this season to work on his hitting. Ramirez, Norby and Pauley all have had to go down after faltering at the plate time after time and Morel was DFA'd. First off, Marcy had a terrible WBC and batted leadoff for Italy but still didn't produce for them batting under the mendoza line for the entire tournament. Marcy also was last offensesively amongst starting CF's at the break. WTF happened?
  13. I guess I got a little emotional seeing Max hit the IL once more. His career has been like watching a 40 something year old Verlander or Scherzer spend more time on the IL than the Diamond. You know if he stays healthy he's a good productive SP so it's frustrating. We should have held on to Jesus Lazardo and given him a team friendly contract to take over the mantle from Sandy. Luzardo is an Ace now and we had him! No one we got in that trade will beat the 15+ wins a year he's giving the Phillies.
  14. Now Max lost to the IL with a pain in his neck while we lose our 7th in a row? That means his right arm is ok so then why is he not still in the rotation? So much for giving him a 10 day rest over the break. We can't afford to lose our best SP and to a neck strain? Come on, guys from yesteryear never went on the IL for something as minor as this. Players are making big money now and want even more, so that means they can pitch thru neck strains and take ibuprofen all day and go to work like the rest of us. I don't blame Max, the team is to blame for shutting him down after a 10 day rest and in the midst of a playoff run. A neck strain doesn't stop me from going to the gym. I smell something rotten here, could be Fish.
  15. Fish win 2 of 3 hard fought games on the road vs a formidable opponent! Kyle Stowers will be our MVP in Milwaukee.
  16. 3-1 Fish! Otto Lopez MVP will stay hot! 🔥
  17. 2-1 Fish and Kyle Stowers will be on Fire 🔥 and MVP!
  18. This team can really show what it's truly capable of if Stowers, Caisse, Norby and Marsee can get on a roll together and help out Otto, X-Man and Hicks who have been carrying this team on their shoulders all season long. Time to get those Avgs above .250 guys and show that you truly do belong up in the show going forward. I also see Gus Ramirez coming back at DH at somepoint when he's hot again and giving us another power option from within. Griffin Conine is another internal option that should return healthy later this month or early July giving us another power bat in the outfield. It should be a crazy August/September for the Fish as they see the WC well within their grasp.
  19. 2-1 Marlins. Kyle Stowers is about to get lit! His 2 Hrs yesterday while everyone else thought they had an off day proves to me that his slow start due to injury is officially over. Kyle has shaken off the rustiness and the nagging hamstring pull and is ready to carry this team on his shoulders just like he did in 2025! Get ready to be entertained Fish Fans, we could use a power surge. ⚡️⚡️
  20. Great points made Sean on attendance woes and how to get more fannies in the seats. I just saw 2 Marlins players yesterday doing a commercial advertising $5 tickets for school kids this summer, something that hasn't been tried here yet but a step in the right direction. I remember in years past big raucous crowds ovet 20k during weekday summer games because of all the summer camps around Dade and Broward making it a day trip for the kids. Including a coupon for a free ticket for a future game is a great idea like you suggested. You have to bring families back to the ballpark and be creative in doing it. Billy the Marlin giving out free ticket coupons for the kids at local schools would be a great idea. Those kids would give these coupons to their parents when picked up, all excited to see a future game with their family. I just took a roadtrip to St Pete with my wife because we live in SW Florida now and caught the Friday night game at the Trop. We were very impressed with the new renovations over there and the family friendly atmosphere and the beaches too lol. First off everyone working there plus the TB Fans were super friendly to us even though we were wearing our Fish hats and shirts. The atmosphere was always festive and kept that way thru-out the game with on field activities that got the crowd involved. Glowing neon lights that changed the new domes roof color and a new sound system hanging from the roof rafters that continually kept everyone awake and tuned in to the important moments of the game. Whether it was drums, horns or someone asking the crowd for noise, it kept everyone involved and off their phones. Wish the Fish gave us more to cheer about that night as TB creamed us good. Anyone else who made the trip knows what I'm getting at, you felt an improved difference from loan depot park which goes silent for too long a stretch at times. Here's a video so you can see one of the on field stunts the Trop uses to keep fans excited and jump out of their seats, me included. 20260515_200245.mp4
  21. Anyone else just disgusted to see Christopher Morel still being sent out there to man 1B while Augustine Ramirez has been demoted to AAA to improve as a catcher? First off, Morel couldn't even hit spring training pitchers as he was way below the Mendoza line all spring. His advertised power has been non-existent throughout his strike-out filled audition starting at 1B. His bat didn't even wake up at the Trop vs his old team when he was placed in the clean-up spot! His strikeouts have been some of the most embarrassing swings I have witnessed from a major league baseball player, simply overmatched at this level. I don't care what he did in 2023-24, we got another Avi Garcia here! Drop him like it's hot and give Ramirez a quick training on how to play 1B in AAA. BTW, this should have happened in the spring guys. Norby has done a fine job at 1B and can hold it down with Hicks until Gus is ready to come back up. Any version of Gus is an 100% improvement on this dud Morel who needs to be DFA'd asap! Throw another 2M in the trash. 🗑
  22. I noticed Rod is the odd man out and has been taken out of the booth for 2026. This is very disappointing as his knowledge of the game history and players past and present has always been very enjoyable to listen to in my opinion. Big mistake by the Fish as he runs circles around the still learning Minervini when it comes to doing color commentary. Hutton, Gaby and Nelson are good but none have the style and swagger of a Rod Allen and he will be wasted for sure in his new limited role. Expect to see him move on somewhere where his talents as a color analyst are appreciated. Keep your head up Rod as us Miami Fans got your back. Thumbs down Fish! 👎
  23. Sandy was unusual in the 1st half with his wildness and leaving fastballs up in the zone but Eury on the other hand suffered no setbacks after TJ other then having his innings limited in the 1st half. I see Braxton Garrett with his experience plus being a former 1st round pick showing the young kids what he's all about this year. He will work on the control of his pitches in the spring and be ready to go by opening day. As for his velocity dropping in 2024, his elbow was torn but now he's got a new stronger arm so he should be where he was at in 2023 or even better. He was around all the new guys last year but wasn't able to play or contribute so he's coming in locked and loaded with a chip on his shoulder and ready to produce right out the gate in 2026. He's ready to show these guys who he was and is now that he's healthy again, that's my prediction.
