Nardi is season ending injury prone and needs to be released so we can stop the bleeding. What I mean is he gets hurt, he misses the season. Max Meyer is another injury prone pitcher and when do we unload this guy we can't ever count on to complete a full season for us? He reminds me of an old expensive car of mine that always had a costly mechanical issue. I replaced it and never looked back. If you want to keep him till his free agent year then turn him into a closer asap cause he will never get through a full season as a starter. History does not lie.

Watching Victor Mesa Jr start all 3 games for TB and homering for the 15th time, being in the center of all the conversations after his catch attempt in RF was interfered with, then being the main interview after the game ended was kinda surreal for me. Seeing this kid signed for 1M out of Cuba as a 17 yr old by the Fish up to him being DFA'd this past spring by Miami and scooped up by TB brings me mixed feelings. Gotta feel good for the kid who looks excited as hell and is definitely making the most of this opportunity he's had all year long with the Rays where their Mgr now calls him their CF of the future. Blunder by the Fish? Yes, this is a major one as we went all out trading Cabbie for Owen Caisse when we had Mesa Jr primed and ready to breakout in the show this past Spring. Just having mixed feelings watching our former players play for other teams in the Playoffs after being discarded by the Fish for not being in their future plans for one reason or another. Yankees have Jazz, Weathers and Stanton while TB has Victor Mesa Jr, Liam Hicks and Nick Fortes. Mesa Jr ripped 14 Hrs the 2nd half and was on fire in Sept thus getting the start in game 1, Wow! Weathers, who pitched a solid inning in relief for the Yankees, was a trade that should never have been made as well as Liam Hicks who also started game 1 for the Division winning Rays and hit one off the wall for a double. Smh at the Fish Brass for whiffing on Victor Mesa Jr, who was signed out of Cuba and given a long look, who the Rays are now projecting as their CF of the future after scooping him up for free this past year after we Dfa'd him. 🤔🤨😤

You can replace Ruiz with that kid Cam Cannarella who was minor league MVP. Give him a shot up in the show, looks like another Marcee but with power. Ruiz regressed in his fielding and power in the 2nd half after his fast start. He can be replaced internally I believe

Remember Javier Sonoja is just 24 yrs old and has been up in the majors for 2 seasons now. He's already won a gold glove and in 2026 he batted .295 with 11 Hrs, 69 Rbis and a 115 wRC+ along with 3.3 War in only his 3rd major league season and first as a starter. I think comparisons to Altuve are on point and as he continues to mature and add muscle to his already strong small frame. His power numbers should continue to increase as he becomes better, especially in those hitter friendly ballparks on the road. We have a keeper here, extend that man before the Dodgers sign him and make him their next Kike!

Trade X-Man for something good that helps us now (3B, SP, 1B) and let Javy Sanoja (our Jose Altuve) man 2B everyday for us going forward. He's shown he has more pop than X, is the better fielder with more range and just has that winning attitude we have seen in Altuve during his long run at the top. We've had too many infielders playing out of position at 3B and 1B and need to trim the fat there going forward. Norby, Jimenez and Morel are now gone due to not hitting a lick while Ex-Yankee Jared Serna (Jazz Trade) looks promising with the bat and glove as a backup for SS and 2B. De la Santos, unless he starts hitting bombs vs MLB Pitching like Bert and Conine, is probably not the answer at 1B for us to compete for the Playoffs in 2027. I would play Conine in RF everyday and drop Caissee to a platoon/back-up role due to his constant poor swing selection and too many K's. He stranded way too many guys at 3rd base with less than 2 outs to be an everyday player and must improve his hitting much like Bert did. Joe Mack is a keeper and a future extension candidate imo as we now know how hard it is to replace a JT Realmuto type of catcher. It took us all the way until now to find a comparable replacement for him after the Phils took us to the cleaners on that one, making injured Sixto Sanchez the centerpiece of what came back to us. Keep Bert, Marsee and Conine in the OF all starting everyday and slide Stowers back to 1B for his bat and backup OF along with Caissee as we all know injuries do happen and things can change quickly. Keep Gus at back-up C/DH and Navarro as back-up catcher/mentor as he's a great guy to have in the clubhouse. Starting Pitching needs some depth and we should have the young prospects returning from injuries and free agent and trade options as well. Our 2025 MVP Relief Pitcher Ronnie Heriquez will be returning from TJ surgery fully rested in 2027. He's better than all of the other relievers we used in 2026 so that's a huge addition for us without a trade. On a side note, Tampa Bay is looking like they're about to do some damage in the Playoffs after finishing in 1st place and hopefully that's where we're headed in the future.

The Great Jose Fernandez was 29-2 with a 1.49 Era lifetime at Loan Depot Park!

"Do think he would have been the first Marlin to spend his whole career with the Marlins?" They had tried to sign Jose to the same team friendly contract they gave to Sandy later, somewhere in the 50M+ range and 5 years. He was advised by Scott Boras (who was looking for 100M+) to turn it down a couple of years before free agency and he did. This advice by Boras hurt his family tremendously as he only had about 5M in assets when he died which included a 1M insurance policy taken out by Boras in case of tragedy, something he does for his clients when telling them to wait for their free agency year to sign. I do believe the Fish would have extended themselves financially and signed Jose eventually mainly because he wanted to stay in Miami. They loved him and he loved it in SoFL and would have taken less money to stay. Loria sold the team shortly after his death mainly because the Fish knew they had a chance if they reached the playoffs with an Ace like Jose to carry them (remember Beckett) but would suffer a catastrophic drop down to mediocrity and not sniff the playoffs for many years if they lost him forever. Loria couldn't stomach another rebuild or going on without his favorite player Jose and sold the team to Sherman shortly thereafter for a huge profit and hasn't been seen since. RIP Jose, we all made mistakes in our youth but weren't a millionaire like you. Money and so-called friends who steer you to the dark side always make growing up harder, especially with your young human brain. To me you are a Marlins Legend and would have taken us back to the WS one day and probably won the MVP too! Why is it we didn't make the Playoffs in 2026? We traded Ryan Weathers and Edward Cabrera and got Owen Caisee striking out 37% of the time. He's not even as good as homegrown Griffin Conine who was no higher than a mid tier prospect for us and he was advertised as being the Cubs top #1 prospect? His numbers do not impress me this year after all the hype that was bestowed on him. Any of our top prospects could have done the same or better with all those reps he got up at the big leagues. Eury Perez a huge disappointment and not a #2 pitcher with his lack of command of his pitches, just a terrible year and no help to the team for the most part, just multiple failures. I saw way too much on $99 Marlins TV of Jansen Junk, Ryan Gusto and Tyler Phillips the 2nd half and their starts doomed us as the skipper had no confidence in any of them to go past the 4th inning! X-Man did a freefall the 2nd half and all of his game suffered. Wasting our time on Morell at 1B was a blunder and Connor Norby and Graham Pauley failing at 3B and at the plate was another with Norby finally being shipped away in the middle of the night to the Rockies where he could flourish with his fly ball swing. Going with Gus Ramirez at catcher over Joe Mack out of Spring Training was a big mistake as was not realizing Heriberto Hernandez was an everyday player for us from the get go and not in July! Losing Griffin Conine for the 1st half to that freak hamstring surgery cost us many games as well, the way he's swung the axe this year. Max Meyer going down with a season ending injury again in July has me thinking we should trade him and let some other team wait for his potential and him to stay healthy. Kyle Stowers hamstring injuries carrying on from opening day to the end of the season likely cost us another 5 wins or so with all his time missed and not having his legs nowhere near 100% for the most part and his stats dropping big-time. Javier Sanoja a huge bright spot for us and he's our Jose Altuve for sure! Let's make him our everyday 2nd baseman and deal X-man for a 3B or SP. Keep Jakob Marsee in CF, the kid has finally found his groove again going forward. The Front Office whiffed on their off-season acquisitions and have to shoulder the blame for choosing Fairbanks as our closer then losing most of our starting rotation to injury this year after trading away our surplus in pitching and signing SP Chris Paddock who had nothing and was DFA'd early due to being shelled nightly. Trading Liam Hicks for a bag of peanuts when he was a solid hitter was a mistake too. Lots of rallies fell short after Hicks was gone. I also felt that they let most of our prospects waste away in the minors while the big league club was in chaos due to injuries but still hanging in the fight. Just disappointed Miami doesn't get any home playoff games again with a WBC type of atmosphere. Hopefully a minimum and maximum salary cap is agreed to and we get a better mix of talent here in the future of young and veteran stars to take us to the next level.

Andrew Nardi, Max Meyer, Ronnie Henriquez, Anthony Bender, Eury Perez, Sandy Alcantara, Braxton Garrett, Sixto Sanchez, Jose Fernandez. *Honorable Mention Edward Cabrera-No surgery but months on the IL in numerous years battling most likely partial tears. Here's some I remember falling under the knife and losing 1+ years due to surgery. Do you remember any others? Is this just a coincidence or is the Marlins Organization doing something extremely wrong in the beginning stages of training their young pitchers? Are they responsible for all this young talent falling by the wayside, many even before reaching the big leagues. Weighted balls are very controversial, might this be the simple reason along with spinning the ball on almost all the pitches? What's your take on this?

21 year old 2023 1st Rd Pick Noble Meyer has undergone TJ Surgery in late August and will be lost for all of 2027. He was on the IL for a shoulder strain since the end of Spring Training, where he wasn't even given an invite after a lost 2025 being injured and not producing in Single A. The last of the Jeter Picks at 10th overall, his velocity dropped big-time to the low 90's in 2025 indicating something might be internally wrong. My guess is possibly a future reliever here but not gonna live up to his previous hype as a Frontline Starting Pitcher. What's your opinion on what seems to be another Jeter misfire?
