  1. 2-1 Marlins. Kyle Stowers is about to get lit! His 2 Hrs yesterday while everyone else thought they had an off day proves to me that his slow start due to injury is officially over. Kyle has shaken off the rustiness and the nagging hamstring pull and is ready to carry this team on his shoulders just like he did in 2025! Get ready to be entertained Fish Fans, we could use a power surge. ⚡️⚡️
  2. Great points made Sean on attendance woes and how to get more fannies in the seats. I just saw 2 Marlins players yesterday doing a commercial advertising $5 tickets for school kids this summer, something that hasn't been tried here yet but a step in the right direction. I remember in years past big raucous crowds ovet 20k during weekday summer games because of all the summer camps around Dade and Broward making it a day trip for the kids. Including a coupon for a free ticket for a future game is a great idea like you suggested. You have to bring families back to the ballpark and be creative in doing it. Billy the Marlin giving out free ticket coupons for the kids at local schools would be a great idea. Those kids would give these coupons to their parents when picked up, all excited to see a future game with their family. I just took a roadtrip to St Pete with my wife because we live in SW Florida now and caught the Friday night game at the Trop. We were very impressed with the new renovations over there and the family friendly atmosphere and the beaches too lol. First off everyone working there plus the TB Fans were super friendly to us even though we were wearing our Fish hats and shirts. The atmosphere was always festive and kept that way thru-out the game with on field activities that got the crowd involved. Glowing neon lights that changed the new domes roof color and a new sound system hanging from the roof rafters that continually kept everyone awake and tuned in to the important moments of the game. Whether it was drums, horns or someone asking the crowd for noise, it kept everyone involved and off their phones. Wish the Fish gave us more to cheer about that night as TB creamed us good. Anyone else who made the trip knows what I'm getting at, you felt an improved difference from loan depot park which goes silent for too long a stretch at times. Here's a video so you can see one of the on field stunts the Trop uses to keep fans excited and jump out of their seats, me included. 20260515_200245.mp4
  3. Anyone else just disgusted to see Christopher Morel still being sent out there to man 1B while Augustine Ramirez has been demoted to AAA to improve as a catcher? First off, Morel couldn't even hit spring training pitchers as he was way below the Mendoza line all spring. His advertised power has been non-existent throughout his strike-out filled audition starting at 1B. His bat didn't even wake up at the Trop vs his old team when he was placed in the clean-up spot! His strikeouts have been some of the most embarrassing swings I have witnessed from a major league baseball player, simply overmatched at this level. I don't care what he did in 2023-24, we got another Avi Garcia here! Drop him like it's hot and give Ramirez a quick training on how to play 1B in AAA. BTW, this should have happened in the spring guys. Norby has done a fine job at 1B and can hold it down with Hicks until Gus is ready to come back up. Any version of Gus is an 100% improvement on this dud Morel who needs to be DFA'd asap! Throw another 2M in the trash. 🗑
  4. I noticed Rod is the odd man out and has been taken out of the booth for 2026. This is very disappointing as his knowledge of the game history and players past and present has always been very enjoyable to listen to in my opinion. Big mistake by the Fish as he runs circles around the still learning Minervini when it comes to doing color commentary. Hutton, Gaby and Nelson are good but none have the style and swagger of a Rod Allen and he will be wasted for sure in his new limited role. Expect to see him move on somewhere where his talents as a color analyst are appreciated. Keep your head up Rod as us Miami Fans got your back. Thumbs down Fish! 👎
  5. Sandy was unusual in the 1st half with his wildness and leaving fastballs up in the zone but Eury on the other hand suffered no setbacks after TJ other then having his innings limited in the 1st half. I see Braxton Garrett with his experience plus being a former 1st round pick showing the young kids what he's all about this year. He will work on the control of his pitches in the spring and be ready to go by opening day. As for his velocity dropping in 2024, his elbow was torn but now he's got a new stronger arm so he should be where he was at in 2023 or even better. He was around all the new guys last year but wasn't able to play or contribute so he's coming in locked and loaded with a chip on his shoulder and ready to produce right out the gate in 2026. He's ready to show these guys who he was and is now that he's healthy again, that's my prediction.
  6. People seem to be forgetting about 28 year old LH SP Braxton Garrett returning from TJ surgery (Dec 24') this spring healthy and good to go. This guy was a workhorse for us in our 2023 Playoff run going 9-7 with a 3.66 Era and 156 K's in 159 Innings pitched. A former 1st Rd draft pick for Miami in 2016, this stud is rested, fully healed and ready to start where he left off. He is not a power pitcher but instead relies on a cutter, sweeper, curve and fastball with excellent control and continuously misses the barrels of bats. So add him to our Starting 5 and stop forgetting that we have him. He's gonna be a big part of our starting rotation and team this year for sure.
  7. 24 yr old Stoneman Douglas HS star 1B Coby Mayo definitely is available on the cheap now that the Orioles have signed the Polar Bear Pete Alonso to that massive 5 yr 155M contract today. Maybe this kid just needs a change of scenery ala Kyle Stowers to bring his huge minor league power numbers up to the Show. Anyways, Wagamans days as our 1B starter appear to be coming to a close and the team should just move on from him as they did with Troy Johnston.
  8. I think the reason immensely talented Cabrera would be available is because of his injury history and not being able to ever throw 200 innings in a season. The Fish might feel that its just a matter of time before this young man has to go for TJ surgery and they dont want to be on the hook for him when this finally happens. He didn't end 2025 well physically after being on the IL for an extended time early in the season but showed tremendous team spirit in still wanting to pitch down the stretch after being shut down once again. We all love Cabby's team spirit and sunflower seed showers for teammates who hit Hrs but I understand why he isn't being thought of as being extended or even staying till his free agent years come up.
  9. The Blue Jays are kicking the Dodgers butts right now with a team full of firecrackers and a few power options. Replace Wagerman with Fan Favorite Arraez and we get better immediately!
  10. Lewin Diaz just hit .313 with 50 Hrs and 156 Rbi's in the Korean League, Wow! Says he's making 500k a year. Worth an invite to camp in 2026, what do u think?
  11. I agree that the players need to be applauded for rising from the cellar to 3rd place ahead of the Braves and within striking distance of the Mets and the 3rd wildcard. All of those bone headed moves thru-out the season by Skip McCullough and his pitching coaches came back to haunt the team at the end when we needed a few more wins. They tinkered with and messed up Sandy early costing us 4 or 5 wins right there. Pulling SP's in the 4th and 5th innings just when they were getting in a groove wasn't smart either as you instead cooked our bullpen sending Bender, Tinoco and others to the golf courses early. Ronnie Henriquez couldn't be used regularly by the end of the season too instead giving us a front row seat in September to the rocket launcher Lake Bachar. 🚀 How many meaningful home runs did he serve up coming in to pitch in close games that we needed a hold on? We never intentionally walked a superstar until Schwarber the other night and they all made us pay dearly late in games with clutch hitting and his walk was the wrong call again as he ended up scoring the tying run. Our young players I applaud 👏 for their preparation, heart and determination to find a way to win despite all the misguided mistakes their manager and mgmt made. Never say die for sure! I really enjoyed watching these kids fight this season despite these negatives because of the success they were able to have from July on. As with other teams, we gave away at least 10 games this year. Hopefully going forward into 2026 Mgmt realizes what went wrong and aims to correct it so we have a better chance to win those games going forward and become a playoff team. Also, we need a real veteran 1st Baseman and not projects or just put Gus Ramirez there because his glove is not slick enough to handle catcher but his bat is definitely major league ready.
