  1. At some point you have to try and win. A couple of weeks ago I was dreaming of playoff rotation: Skubal Perez - talent Ace potential has shown the last few weeks Sandy Max Meyer - healthy & dealing 2 weeks later——— In shambles
  2. I like the for Emerson Hancock offer. Why stop there? Why not make it Kirby and Luke Raley for Hernandez, Cannarella and Milbrandt? Like any trade, it comes down to what are you getting in return. If the Marlins give up a hot hitting Hernandez. I’d have to receive back a potential needle mover, not a low upside/leverage middle reliever.
  3. Rob as counterintuitive as it sounds, because these guys make so much money is why precautions are taken. Better to lose 2 weeks then 2 months or the season with a real neck or nerve injury.
  4. Can’t keep throwing Fairbaks’ rear-end out there, this has become a Heath Bell situation. I know Fairbanks is trying but can’t happen, brings morale down when chasing a playoff spot. Think 03’ when they traded 2002 overall no.1 Adrian Gonzalez for Urbina. Needs to happen, no sense in waiting 2-3 more weeks.
  5. They can’t keep sending Fairbanks’ bum rear-end out there. Closer? Dude is the definition of “BS”
  6. Any chance I can hear a podcast soon contemplating making a run at Skubal? How does a White, Arquette and Noble Meyer package sound? Or swap Snelling for White if you think too much. But then again with Snelling out, likely can’t be included in a trade. OK circle back to White or Milbrandt. Get it done!
  7. Textbook FAFO moment for McCullough. IF Marlins drop this game, he’ll never forget not live this one down. Total POS. SHAME indeed
  8. Well deserved fellas congrats! Now go out and trade for Skubal! Skubal, Alcantara, Perez & Meyer. Good luck with that.
  9. Great to see what Lopez is continuing to do because watching Khalil Watson against my local Mariners makes me believe the Marlins cut bait too quick. Watson hits the ball hard.
  10. all things considered, great 1st half for the Marlins. It’d be nice if they could land an impact player or 2 at the deadline. Their pitching is incredibly thin. Hey Marlins, give my Mariners a call about Castillo & Kirby. Kirby will only cost a White
  11. You, I & any Joe off the street could do what Braxton did today. 5 walks in a lil over an inning, absolutely shameful for a MLB pitcher.
  12. Any A-Hole off the street could have done what Braxton did today. How does that happen? How does a MLB pitcher come in and can’t throw a dang strike? 5 walks in 1.1 is atrocious, Little Leaguers have more control.
  13. I hate when he gets a runner on base he focuses way too much on them as opposed to trusting his stuff more against the batter. That I think is an easy one for the coaching staff to correct.
  14. I need to see more from Eury, a lot more. 20yrs ago or so Don Sutton asked Josh Beckett, “don’t you want to be great?” That’s where I’m at as a 5 ERA and 1.6 WHIP is terrible, non-competitive which gives your team no chance to win and taxes your bullpen.
  15. OT: I’m losing my patience with Eury and am buying into a comment I read somewhere else, he’s a thrower not a pitcher.
  16. With every start Sandy makes that trade value is going down and quick
  17. Time to bring Snelling up, this team is competitive. No excuses unless FO truly believes not ready. Giving Paddack another start tells fans we don’t give a sh*t, we ain’t trying.
  18. I see Morlando missed the start of 2025 with ulnar nerve transposition on his non-throwing elbow. What the heck is that? I keep my prior comment, this Org stinks at positional player evals. At some point it ain’t just bad luck.
  19. Hmm, I’m a lil sus when a young athletic guy needs “core muscle surgery.” A couple of years ago the Marlins trade for an athletic speedy/toolsy guy, Dillon Head and he immediately needs hip? surgery. You might disagree and these things can be completely unrelated but IMO this organization seems clueless in their evals of position players. Have any guys they’ve drafted flashed: Watson, Bleday, Berry, PJ Morlando? Bleday prob the “best” so far and he’s long gone from the Org.
  20. Glad to see Dane continue to hit, he just keeps getting better. I really hope the Fish hold onto and build with and around him. I do not want to see Dane traded to rot away as some other team's 4th OF. Myers is by far my favorite Marlin.
  21. Gonzalez went on to have a great career. If memory serves correct, the Marlins FO didn't think Gonzalez had the ceiling (30+ HR pop) he would eventually show. Can't question the trade since the 2003 season culminated in a WS, they don't happen often.
  22. Sandy on the bump tomorrow, if he doesn’t get positive results against a historically awful team then I’m convinced it just ain’t gonna happen for him. This is the only thing I’ll be looking at during this series. I’m not in Sandy’s head but a 6er start tomorrow and his season (career?) is toast.
  23. Congrats to Victor! The supposed lesser of the two Victors and happy for him as he's been in the org quite a while. And lo and behold, gets a hit in his 1st MLB at bat. Way to go Victor :)
  24. Yes I know. My key phrase being 2025 debut. Thank you for being critical. Go Marlins.
