Entering play on Sunday, the Marlins trail both the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Diego Padres by four games in the race for the NL's third wild-card spot. They have 26 regular season games remaining, including three apiece against the Diamondbacks and Padres (all on the road).

FanGraphs estimates that the Fish have only a 2.4% chance of qualifying for the postseason.
