Let's Make a Sandy Deal

It's time to start tallking Sandy Swaps. No shortage of needs for the fish, as Edwards is the only position player that should be part of a decent team's roster.

With a need for an entire starting OF, we could start by getting Jasson Dominguez from the Yankees. Dominguez has the very high ceiling the Marlins should be looking for and is kind of a buy low guy right now. The other part of a Sandy trade could be Luis Gil, a very talented starter who will miss this season due to surgery.

The net suggestioins include Boston for Alyer Abreu and Marcelo Mayer, Yankees for Arias, Spencer Jones, etc., Braves for young prospects incl. major league ready pitching, Mets for Casas and farmhands. If Boston is willing to part with two young everyday players, I could see it. Mayer at SS, Edwards back to 2B, Abreu to OF, and Otto Lopez to 3B or OF. (Unlike some, I don't see any worth in Norby or Stowers.)

We are not getting Jasson Dominguez, and I have serious doubts that Marcelo Mayer is on the table.
