Max Meyer's demotion is a financial move. The Marlins don't want him to qualify for a year of major league service. I wish we had an owner who was interested in winning. It is hard to root for the Marlins when they make moves like this.

The Marlins are free to play games and so is Meyer. He ought to just demand a trade.

The team is screwing with the young player's career. How does this effect his chances of making ROY or All Star status? His salary is based on such things once he reaches arbitration.
