Is Bloom a hot commodity? It appears that he is responsible or greatly helped run the Red Sox into the ground. Then again, there is the perfunctory baseball carousel, so he has several top jobs left to go.

Signing Jonathan Davis is a good news story. His performance and attitude last year in his short time with the team were incredible. Everyone cringed when he was injured, especially since it was so severe. I admire his grit and determination in coming back. Now he has a chance to rejoin the team, if he performs this spring. Let's see if he can do it.

He was certainly a hot commodity when the Red Sox hired him in the first place. That tenure must have dulled the enthusiasm for him slightly, but I still expect him to get an opportunity to lead baseball ops for a new team next offseason if he's interested in doing so.
