Martinez would be a great addition to the Marlins, but like Kevin said, there will be plenty of competition to get him. I think the Fish can be comfortable with the AAV to get him, but maybe not sure about the length of the contract.

 

MLB trade rumors predicts he can get 2 years, $25 million... maybe adding a nice 3rd-year mutual option with a home discount?

Worries me that none of the fundamental "roster problems" have been yet addressed, but it's been a rather quiet offseason so far.
