Jack Flaherty intrigues me (part of the reason why I set him to be the featured photo 😆).

Somebody not mentioned in here who our staff will do an article on soon: Lucas Giolito. I expect him to sign a short-term deal to re-establish himself, and pitching in Miami should help out the home run problem he had in 2023. The question is whether his AAV might be too much for the Marlins.

Of all the pitchers here presented, Flaherty is the one with the most upside, therefore will probably be the most expensive. Still doable, but the Marlins will face competition for his services.

Even though Giolito is not a top-tier SP this offseason but he is up there. He was excellent with Chicago this season and his K-rate was tremendous.

If the Marlins didn’t want to extend a QO to Soler for financial reasons (or whatever reason), I highly doubt they can be in the mix for Giolito’s services. They will be outbid, plain and simple.

Prove me wrong, Sherman.

As a former Minnesotan, Kenta would be great and he finished strong.

I like the RP for SP idea, contenders want great RP so think Seattle could make sense or Cleveland with the potential to QO Bieber next season
