I'll remind you that of the 5 other pitchers on that list, two of them are lefty one-out guys. (Randy Choate and Arthur Rhodes) So really there's 3 pitchers you can reasonably compare him with.

Do Marlins Nation really believe that The Fish are going to compete for The NL East title?

I don't see a scenario where they finish ahead of the Braves. Atlanta's rotation is such a mess at the moment and it doesn't even matter because of all the talent they have elsewhere. All about the Wild Card race, which is looking really promising.

Yes, I prefer to look at how he stacks up to others in the 3-batter minimum era. Only Nardi and Bender.

On that list, I think the real comparisons are surely Kyle Barraclough, Drew Steckenrider, and Clay Hensley.

 

I expected Steckenrider and Barraclough to be on that list, because of how absolutely filthy their stuff was, but Clay Hensley? I completely forgot he had such a dominant stretch.

 

Maybe you should use Clay Hensley as a Marlins Jeopardy answer. Lol!
