  1. I've been watching the Marlins since day one. I can't count the number of rebuilds I've seen. As a 30 something year old fan, it was disappointing but not devastating. Today, I'm just on the wrong side of 60. Only God knows how many fruitless rebuilds I have left. In '23, the starting pitching was the envy of the league &, in every game, the Fish had a chance to win. It was fun & entertaining! Now, we need to trade nearly all of the team's legit major league players, that took years to acquire, for lottery tickets. All prospects are lottery tickets. Even if Bendix is eventually as successful as the recent Rays teams have been, it's a soulless brand of baseball. A never ending revolving door & the Marlins will be feeding the league. We will never have our Mantle, Bench, Ripken, Jeter, etc... I only own one Marlins jersey, Jose Fernandez's #16. Get off my lawn Bendix!
  2. Unfortunately, that is reality of being a Marlins fan. It's going to be an endless parade of young players that reach different levels of success and failure. The successful ones will be eventually moved regardless of their contract situations. The Fish have shown that they will trade star players they have extended (Yelich) or star players reaching the end of club control (Realmuto). This way of running a team will perhaps yield some success but it seems "soulless." Us Marlins fans will never have our own Judge, Votto, Jeter, Ripkin, Bench, etc... The only Marlins jersey I own is Jose Fernandez's "16."
  3. How much longer is Tim Anderson going to start or even occupy a roster spot for the Marlins? It has progressed from "let's see what happens" to "hopefully more reps will show improvement" to "this is pretty sad" to "brutally unwatchable" to "why is this still happening?" I'm I missing something here? Can anyone defend continuing to play Tim Anderson?
  4. Even with Jesus Sanchez, Tim Anderson, & the brutal "offensive" production from the catchers, it seems like the only time you feel there's no chance is when Sixto starts. No doubt, this team is now at least competitive. Somebody please remove Tim Anderson from this lineup... He's the definition of unwatchable.
  5. I’m not sure what this signing means for the Marlins. At this point, is Anderson a better option at shortstop? Is a combination of Berti, Amaya, & Brujan a better cost and “on field” option? I understand Anderson’s higher ceiling but his floor could be brutal, specially at $5 million. It just seems that the same questions are still lingering after this signing. Also, does this signing jeopardize Berti’s future with the Marlins? So far, the only sure thing, besides the cost, about this signing is the ringing Jake Burger endorsement of Anderson. Let’s see what happens!
