    I'll go with 2-1 Mariners MVP: Cal Raleigh (2-3 homers) We win Meyer's start, but not confident at all with Gillispie or Cal unless we just go off at the plate.

    We win 1 game. MVP: Corbin Carroll - DBacks are superior to us in nearly every meaningful stat. Doesn't mean we can't take one with Meyer or Cabrera on the mound.

    Great win, but they need to keep Wagaman OUT of that cleanup role. Myers or Stowers needs to be the mainstay. Edwards, Lopez, Myers, Stowers would be my ideal order (first four) in the lineup. Bride and Wagaman/Mervis have to be at 8 and 9 for the time being.

    Locked down the high-priced Mets for the first 4 innings! Excellent showing considering their starters had multiple plate appearances. Great game, Fish.

    Nice seeing some promise at the bottom of the rotation. That competition for the fifth spot is great to see.

    I feel like avoiding potential sweeps is great for morale. Especially when it's a dominating finale beforing coming back for a home stand. Winning a series is ideal, of course, but salvaging a rough series has its merits too.

    I'm replying late, as Garrett already threw his shutout. 1 - 1 split for the last two games. Saturday is a loss for Sixto and Sunday is a win, but a bullpen arm gets the W. MVP goes to DLC in the last two games.

    Even if it's a small sample size, this success can be sustainable. If they can consistently win series' against teams hovering around or under .500 then there's a small shot at October. Not saying they can't win a series occasionally against good teams (Brewers for instance), but I'm being realistic.

    I'm a fan of the trade. Plenty of depth in the 'pen already and we're adding a contact hitter with a lot of upside. Still wish we had some power to replace Soler though. DLC and Jazz BOTH need 20-25 HR to make up the difference in my opinion. I'm hoping Gordon can get on base with Arraez to boost the RBI numbers.
