Solid hire. The Marlins tried (and failed) to emulate the Tampa Bay Rays many, many times, even going so far as snatching up their castoffs. All of which to very little success.

 

Maybe this time, with Bendix at the helm, they will start operating as a small market team properly instead of trying to copy the homework of the Tampa Bay Rays, and instead understand how they became successful in the first place.

 

...What am I kidding? This is the Marlins. I should be more skeptical.
