"Now that Luzardo has been able to go through a full season at the big league level, the next step for him is pitching even deeper into his starts. With the right adjustments, he has the potential to be an All-Star next year."

 

Another step would be to perform during big games. There's the clunker he had in the playoffs (where he never performed well; either with the Marlins or with the A's), but there were many must-win games in September with Luzardo on the mound and he just couldn't deliver. If the Marlins are counting on him during postseason chases, he must step up during these games.
