I think it is realistic to forget about the Marlins making the playoffs this year. While I am disappointed I think the team exceeded our realistic expectations for the most part. Some players exceeded our expectations, namely Arraez, Soler, Garrett, Luzardo and Eury Perez. Jazz was able to play a decent center field but he has been hurt. De la Cruz, and Jesus Sanchez have been inconsistent. Avisail Garcia has been a disappointment, so was Cueto, Tanner Scott has been very good. Obviously Sandy has been a disappointment as well. Bottom line is that there is some talent on this team but without a real upgrade in talent we will not be able to compete with the better teams in baseball. GM Ng made some good moves and a few didn't work out. We need to invest more money in payroll to upgrade the quality of our players.
