Agreed. Ridiculous to think they would move Conine to 1st. He’s a very good defensive outfielder who had a small sample size last year, as far as plate appearances.

    Still has to prove he can be productive at the MLB level over the course of an entire season. Having him do a position change makes it that much more challenging.

    How about signing a first baseman that’s actually a first baseman, instead of forcing a square peg into a round hole (Hicks, Pauley, or potentially Augustin or Conine) ??

    Last year, if including Pauley at 3rd, the Marlins were a good defensive team at every position, except first base & catcher. Let’s try & work on becoming better defensively (a legit first baseman & eventually, Mack).
