There is no great mystery of "what is wrong with Sandy?" Sandy was broken the last year that he pitched before he got injured., 2023. He won the Cy Young in 2022 but the following year, 2023 was the beginning of Bad Sandy. He went 7-12 with an ERA over 4.1 and the ONLY THING WRONG with him was the same thing that is wrong with him now: LOCATION. Too many pitches waist high, center cut, right down the middle. This is not rocket science, folks. You throw it down the middle & hitters are going to clobber it; they call them MISTAKE PITCHES for a reason, LOL. There are good strikes and bad strikes. Anything in the middle of that box is a bad strike, and not just for Sandy. This applies to EVERY pitcher in baseball. The really good pitchers have learned to throw HIGH FASTBALLS at the very top of the box or even a little above it and LOW Off Speed pitches. All the pitchers on the Marlins that are struggling are all doing the same thing: THROWING BAD STRIKES, MISTAKE PITCHES, COOKIES, MEATBALLS, whatever you want to call them. Max Meyer and Sandy are the ones doing it the most. Bellozo does it the LEAST. He doesn't have the best stuff on the team but he knows how to pitch. Of course the Moron Manager just sent him to the BULLPEN.
