  1. If you want to improve the team and be competitive, you might sign Ryan O'Hearn or Nathaniel Lowe. If you want to keep your costs down, sign Christopher Morel. It might be dead money after a year, but you've kept your costs below what you get from MLB. and improved your profit that way, or you improve the value of the player, which gives you a trading chip further along the line. It is not about being the best team possible, it is about making as much money as possible.
  2. Congratulations to the Bonus Pool winners. It's a pity Javier Sanoja didn't get anything for winning a Gold Glove.
  3. The Marlins have more than enough outfielders to go round. I still like the idea of giving Griffin Conine a 1st base glove and see if he like his dad, can do a decent job there. The bar is pretty low. Signing a decent lefty reliever, trying Max Meyer in high leverage pen role and either trading for or signing a first baseman could move things forward
  4. Can someone please give Griffin Conine a 1st base glove? HIs dad was a solid to good 1st baseman and the standard set by Wagaman is very low: both sides of the ball. He even has a better slash line against lefties (small sample size)
  5. Devin Williams calls to mind Amando Benitez in 2004. Benitez left New York with his reputation in question and had a career year with the Marlins. Minus Josh Simpson and George Soriano plus healthy guys coming back and Williams in high leverage spots, the bullpen would look improved.
