Im already getting my mind right for another effortless Marlins run. I'm hoping we can see the development of Lopez, Norby, Edwards and Mervis and hope that our rotation somewhat stays afloat.
But yeah it's going to be a LOOOOOOOOOONG year getting hyped for Fish games.
Definitely excited for Norby and Oller.
Hopefully they can show enough to be part of the new wave.
I feel De Los Santos, Norby, Max Meyer, J. Sanchez, Ramirez, X. Edwards, Mazur, Johnston and Berry should all be on the roster next year
I really really wanted this to work, but with the way the team has imploded it didn't make sense to keep him.
I am excited to see X. Edwards get a shot, finally. I imagine he platoons with Brujan.
Hopefully he provides some excitement.
It's hard to even fathom how things got off to this start, but you are right, Ely.
This bullpen is PATHETIC! Puk can't handle the SP pressure, and our offense again has been wildly inconsistent.....
What the F*** is this team doing?? I can't believe our bullpen has trashed so many games already.
I wasn't expecting our offense to put up 11 runs a game, but we can't even crack 7 or more consistently.
Unbelievable how s***** this team looks. I am not giving up hope at all, but I can't feign by disappointment
Good point, Ely. It's still SUPER early but 2 things stand out that we kind of new:
1) Avi Garcia is useless....no matter where he plays he just doesn't have it for this lineup
2) Our starting pitchers who are hurt are much more valuable then we initially thought. Excited for Meyer and Rogers' starts, but getting BG, Perez and Cabrera back will make huge dividends.
Me too man...Always loved Bert, but I get the fact where Myers or Bride can fill that role off the bench with Gordon and Brujan.
Thanks for the years, JB!
I am happy for this move.
Love Berti to death, but can't see him being an everyday guy.
This allows him to do his super utility role as well as gives Amaya another chance in AAA to hone his skills.
I can see a bounce back from Tim, as he has that edge on him to prove the doubters wrong.
Good points made by all.
I personally would like to see him be the SS
I just can't see 34 year old Berti being out there on a regular, especially when he is so good as a super sub
So many SS options with Bride, Brujan, Gordon, Edwards and Amaya, yet the club keeps making moves.
The good thing is having options in the rotation, even with Sandy gone. Asking Meyer to come back with the same expectations is lofty, but even he is an option. Right now Luzardo, Perez and Garrett are locks, barring any trades.
I would love to see a combo of Rogers/Cabrera/Weathers/Meyer get the 4 and 5, and I genuinely would be ok with that.
