On Monday, Roddery Muñoz continued to be very susceptible to home runs, allowing three more of them to the Royals. Predictably, Cole Ragans (6.0 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 11 K, 108 pitches/68 strikes) had an easy time with Miami's lineup, as most left-handers do. Josh Bell sat out his first game of the season. The Marlins lost, 4-1.
Down on the farm, RHP Eliazar Dishmey won Florida State League Pitcher of the Week. The FCL Marlins swept their doubleheader, winning 4-2 and 6-5. They stole 11 bases in 13 offensive innings! LHP Luis Cesar (5.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 3 K) lowered his ERA to 1.08. DSL Marlins won, 9-3. DSL Miami won, 9-5. The Marlins finished the "first half" of the minor league season with a higher winning percentage than any other organization, and that was prior to this undefeated day.
