April 2026 update: Shepardson's fastball velocity tops out at 98 mph and his slider is his best secondary offering.

Right before the start of the 2026 regular season, Shepardson suffered a UCL injury that will require Tommy John surgery. He'll be sidelined until late in the 2027 season as a result.
