I don't mind listening to guys like Heyser. It is entertaining. These are conventional thinkers, plodding along while parroting the same stuff every year. I was waiting for him to tell us why the Marlins could afford Bellinger or Snell, and how such a signing or two would "show the world" that the Marlins are playing the same, losing game that most of the league plays. They congratulate themselves on "good" regular seasons, hoping against hope that their one or two crapshoot FA signings are the special sauce, and counting on their busy work to keep their fans just satiated enough to watch the next season and buy a few merch items. The so-called experts tell most of us fans of low- and mid-level income teams that we have to accept a decade-long title swap match between the super-rich and super-smart Dodgers, Braves, Yankees, and a few others. Let's defeat those teams, MLB groupthink, and the so-called experts while having a blast making them all sweat. That's the real fun.
