This is the reason why Kim Ng’s departure was a necessity. Every selection made in the draft has been terrible! I am onboard with Bruce Sherman’s desires to bring a head of baseball operations to improve this area. Kim Ng was NOT the answer!

The drat picks by Ng were bad enugh to warrant the need to have oversight. Too bad because she seems better at evaluating MLB level talent. I was particularly impressed with the acquisition of Burger, and a few relievers. It was also true she had her share of misses. But, the other side is that she could only buy cut-rate merchandise. Its too bad we lost her, but I understand.

It should be the most important move an owner makes and is worth almost any amount of outlay as everything having to do with success is more associated with the GM position than any other. Lets hope we can continue the upward momentum we started this year.
