The Fish On First LIVE panel debates what to do about Owen Caissie's ongoing struggles at the plate. The rookie outfielder is homerless over his last 22 games with a .156/.200/.219 slash line.

No question that Caissie has looked lost at the plate, not swinging at fastballs in the middle of the zone and swinging at breaking pitches in the dirt.
However, as Kevin mentioned, there isn’t any viable candidate in Jville to bring up which speaks to a bigger problem. The Marlins still have a long way to go as far as drafting/signing and developing position players.
The fact that Rogers, Luzardo, Eddy, & Weathers were traded for 11 position players, speaks volumes. And not to mention the Arraez, which brought an additional 3 position players (and Woo Suk, too).
The run of RH starting pitching the Marlins have faced — 18 in the last 20 games — has done 2 things. 1: Allowed Liam Hicks to bring his game to another level. 2: Exposed Caissie.
IMO, Caissie stays for now. It’s still early and, right now, there’s no one else to call up. And the Marlins should not feel obligated to run Caissie out there vs all RH starters.
If the Marlins were to send down Caissie or suffer  another injury to a position players, depending on who that would be, whoever they bring up isn’t going to be much help or any help at all.

As I said previously, Owen Caissie was our best hitter for the first 1 1/2 to 2 weeks of the season. Sending him to AAA would send the wrong message to him.

The best course of action is hope he gets out of his current funk and regains the form he had in those beginning weeks of the season, and even better if he maintains it for the rest of the season.

owen cassie was fine. till he was beach for no reason. looks mad .then hits hr later in game.

but trust this he geating 145 games.  marlins want that comp pick.  unless you dont care who marlins pick.

unless injure comes. plus he no the only one should throw under the bus also.   does he no . till others are call out.

you did not call out one of the worst players AUGSTIN 104 AB ,24H ,14 R ,12 RBI

                                                                               OWN 87 AB , 18H , 10 R , RBI

Pauley  is anther name and Javier not a starter with his production . just a pinch hitter at best.

I BE the first to say he starting to look clueless out their. that also start with hitting coaches
