I often right critical comments regarding the Marlins but yesterdays win was well deserved. Management made only one major league free agent hiring in the off season. They lost Soler but Bell exercised his option and stayed with the team. So when we got off to a bad start I was not surprised. From that depleted staff we traded away every available quality player at the trading deadline. The remaining players are playing their heart out but there is a significant deficit of talent when compared to other major league teams. It is a credit to the remaining players and the manager and coaches that we are competitive at all. I hope in the near fututre that all of this pain will be rewarded with a winning team. I hope the prospects pan out and the front office add quality free agents to the team this off season.
