Miami Marlins ace Sandy Alcantara has collaborated with Kiwiclo on a limited collection of apparel that just went live on Friday. Starting at $38, they’re offering a variety of shirts, hats, hoodies and shorts benefiting the David Ortiz Children’s Fund.
The “Sandy Collection” depicts Alcantara in the middle of his delivery, wearing a cap with his personal logo on it. In the background, you can see the Miami skyline, palm trees, a marlin leaping out of the water and his 2022 NL Cy Young award. The “Miami Essential Collection” features items with the city’s name in bright red, capital letters with a blue outline (items available in black or cement). Within a couple hours of the launch, some of the listed shorts had already sold out. There are also shirts and hoodies available in kid’s sizes.

Each Kiwiclo collection drop benefits a different charity. The David Ortiz Children’s Fund was established by the Hall of Famer and fellow Dominican to provide support to children in the D.R. and in New England who cannot afford critical cardiac services. The organization says they have saved over 935 children via detection and screening, outreach to rural areas, child-life specialist support and emergency worker training.
Alcantara is coming off a much-needed win against the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday (6.0 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, 1 HR). Despite a career-worst 4.86 ERA through his first 10 starts of the season, his 3.80 FIP is almost identical to his lifetime 3.71 mark. He’ll be fine.
